Enterprise support organizations

The City of Kraśnik is home to over 80 organizations, associations and foundations, including NGO Forum. The largest business business association is Kraśnicka Izba Gospodarcza (Kraśnik Chamber of Industry and Commerce).

KIG 1Kraśnik Chamber of Industry and Commerce was established in 1997 and has over 150 members representing retail, manufacturing and service sectors. It is one of the largest organizations of its kind in Lublin region. The Chamber has been providing advice and support for its members and promoting economic growth. One of the Chamber's key roles is representation of the members' interests in dealing with state administration and local government agencies. In all its activities the Chamber promotes business ethics and good practices in a free market economy. In October 2012 the Chamber's management established Biuro Promocji Kraśnickiego Produktu Lokalnego (Kraśnik Office for Promotion of the Local Product). The office is tasked with coordinating promotion efforts showcasing local products, services and businesses and running the "DOBRE BO KRAŚNICKIE" (IT'S GOOD, IT'S MADE IN KRAŚNIK) contest.

Kraśnicka Rada Biznesu (Kraśnik Business Council)

The idea to establish Kraśnik Business Council came from Mirosław Włodarczyk, the City's Mayor, who in 2011 invited 30 local businesses to participate. The core role of the Council is a close cooperation between business owners and the Mayor's Office in promotion of economic growth and following the laws set in the Act on Freedom of Enterprise and Fair Competition. In addition, the Council is an advisory body providing input on strategic city policies regarding land use and economic development, as well as long-term investment plans. Among the Council's goals is integration and cooperation with the municipal authorities and promotion of a positive image of the local business community.
